Virginia Ganster

August 15, 1953 — July 22, 2013

Virginia "Ginny" Ganster, 59, of Allen, TX, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on July 22, 2013, Ginny will always be remembered for being self-sacrificing, sincere, and willing to do whatever necessary to help those in need. She was heavily involved in Alcoholics Anonymous and her passion for substance abuse rehabilitation led her to spend many years as a substance abuse counselor. Ginny often mentioned that if she ever won the lottery, she would retire and spend all of her time & money in the service of charitable organizations around the world. She especially loved holidays and special occasions - any chance to cook enormous amounts of food and be around family. She adored her grandchildren, always referring to them as "Grandma's little angels". She loved The Lord and was eager to serve Him and learn more about Him, endeavoring to use her hardships as a chance to exercise and strengthen her faith. Ginny worked hard her entire life to raise & provide a good life for her children. She always considered the needs of others above her own, loved any and all things yellow - especially roses - and enjoyed movies, reading, spending time with family and encouraging people to reach their potential and pursue their dreams. She is survived by Craig Achman, son; Holly Achman, Daughter in law; Christopher Achman, son; April Boyd, daughter; VJ Boyd, son in law; Dyllan Thompson, grandson; Flash Boyd, grandson; Nolan Boyd, grandson; Richard Taylor, brother; Wallace Taylor, brother; Paul Taylor, brother; David Taylor, brother; Harry Olszweski, brother; Donald Olszweski, brother; Vegas, her dog and many other loving family and friends.
