Phil Bailey

Phillip Douglas Bailey, age 59, passed away with his family at his side on July 21, 2013. Phil was born November 22, 1953 in Dallas, Texas to Wanda Bailey and the late Douglas Bailey. Phil graduated in Dallas from Samuel High School in 1972. He attended Tyler Junior College and East Texas State University. For 30 years, Phil was a loyal employee for Claudius Peters and worked as a Senior Mechanical Designer.
He married the love of his life, Becky Lynn Anderson, on June 18, 1977 in Breckenridge, Texas. Phil adored his wife and devoted his life to making her happy. He was a faithful husband, great cook, confidant, and the best handyman a wife could ever have.
Phil was an avid sports fan and his favorite sport of all was anything his children or grandchildren were playing. He was their most encouraging coach, and never missed an event whether on the field or in their lives. He truly loved being with his family, grilling, swimming, dining out. He was the life of the party, and had a knack for making everyone around him feel special. With his huge servant heart, he took care of us all.
He is survived by his mother, Wanda Bailey, his devoted wife, Becky Bailey, his loving children, daughter Ashley Jackson and her husband Dan Jackson, and son Brent Bailey, his siblings Mike Bailey and Jan McCain, his admiring grandchildren Cole and Camryn Jackson.
His unconditional love extended and touched the lives of everyone that knew him. His selfless nature placed him in a category of his own. He will be forever remembered by his family and countless friends whom were blessed to know him. To love Phil has been an honor. His imprint on life was great. A memorial service will be held to honor and celebrate Phil's life Thursday, July 25, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel at Christ Church, 4550 Legacy Drive, Plano, Texas 75024.
