Daniel J Deleon

Daniel J. DeLeon, 91, of Allen, Texas passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2013 in Wylie, Texas.
He was born on August 17, 1921 in Stockdale, Texas to Epiminio and Gravaela Jimenez DeLeon. He married Demetria Hernandez in 1943 and they would have celebrated their 70th anniversary in August.
Daniel worked in farming most of his early life and lived in Lamesa, Texas. In 1970, they moved to Lubbock where he went to work for Texas Instruments and retired in 1986. Later they moved to Allen, Texas in 1988 and he worked part-time for St. Judes Catholic Church in maintenance until his 90th birthday. He enjoyed playing pool and bowling.
He is survived by daughters Marie (Mac) Jacoby of Sachse, Emily (Albert) Hernandez of Garland, Rosa (Robert) Ybarra of San Antonio, Loy DeLeon of McKinney, and Eva (Jim) Greco of McKinney, sons Dan (Flo) DeLeon of Hebbronville, Adam DeLeon of California, Jessie DeLeon of Dallas and Johnny (Julie) DeLeon of Allen, 24 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren plus a host of other relatives and friends.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, two sisters, daughter Elida DeLeon Wooten and son Andrew DeLeon.
The family will receive friends at a visitation from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Allen Family Funeral Options in Plano.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be held Monday, July 22, 2013 at 1:00 PM at St. Judes Catholic Church, 1515 N. Greenville Avenue, Allen, Texas 75002 followed by a burial at Historic Allen Cemetery on E. McDermott Drive in Allen, Texas.
