Larry David Jacobs was born July 29, 1950 to parents Russell and Mary Jacobs in Mansfield, Ohio.
He grew up on a farm and loved fighting, teasing and playing with his brothers and sister. Larry married his high school sweetheart, Ethel Mae Harbolt on November 22, 1968.
Larry enjoyed life, laughed with all of us and took care of his family whom he loved dearly; most of all his grandkids. They affectionately called him Popo. Although Larry was a hard worker and someone you could count on he really loved to sneak away for a round of golf whenever he could. Larry never met a stranger and become fast friends with anyone he met. He was a straight shooter. Even if it wasn't something you especially wanted to hear, he would still tell it like it was.
Larry passed from this life suddenly on June 27, 2013 at his home in Plano, Texas. He is survived by his loving wife, EJ Jacobs, children Jim Jacobs and Jennifer Jameson and her husband Chad, grandchildren Tyler, Mason, Samantha and Erin Jacobs, Emily and Andrew Jameson, siblings William Stuart and his wife Kathy, Robert Jacobs and his wife Elaine, Randy Jacobs and his wife Mary Ann, Dan Jacobs, Linda Knowlton and her husband Lorn, and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Tommy Jacobs.
The family will receive friends at a visitation on Saturday, June 29, 2013 from 3:00 - 5:00 PM at Allen Family Funeral Options in Plano, Texas.
