Lois Elaine Iovinelli

Lois Elaine Dennett Iovinelli passed away May 12, 2013 at 11:34 PM, losing her battle with cancer. She wanted to celebrate Mother's Day with her family around her. She is now with the Lord, pain free and is watching over us.
Lois was born in Boston, MA on February 5, 1939. She lived in Providence, RI until she was 12 years old. Her parents, Robert and Gerry Dennett, moved to Dallas, Texas on September 1, 1951 with her and her siblings, Roberta and Russell. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas, Texas in January 1957. She was part of the USO group where she met Tony Iovinelli. She asked him to play ping pong.
Lois married Tony on July 10, 1958. They have been married for 54 years. She has two children, Robert and Mary. Robert (Bob) was born on her 20th birthday. Robert and wife Leta live in Plano, Texas. Mary and her husband Eddie live in Garland, Texas. She has three grandchildren, Justin Belk, Tessa Belk, & Mandy Belk Millican and Mandy's husband, Jimmy Millican. She has two great- granddaughters, Peyton and Faith Millican.
Lois loved to travel with her husband, daughter, and son-in-law, Eddie for the last few years. She has been to the Grand Canyon 4 times with family and friends. Other places she traveled were St. Louis, Chicago, Branson, Hawaii, Hilton Head, South Carolina, Galveston, Houston and San Antonio. She loved being with her kids and spending as much time as possible with them. She has very close friends and one of 50 + years.
Her favorite things were to shop at Kohl's, watch movies, and to take drives. She loved to host the family Thanksgiving Dinners every year. She also left many close relatives with wonderful memories.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 11:00 AM at LifePoint Church, 4501 Hedgcoxe Road, Plano, Texas 75024 with a reception following the service.
