Billy Pat Bush

Billy Pat Bush passed away on May 5, 2013 at 77 years old. He led a happy, exciting life filled with joy, surrounded by family and friends, and loved by all who knew him. He is now with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Bill was born June 24, 1935 in Plainview, Texas to John Anderson Bush, Sr. and Etta Mae Harper, as the 7th of 13 children. He attended Lubbock High School and married his Junior high school sweetheart, Doris. Bill enlisted in the United States Marine Corp from 1954-1957 serving in the Korean Peninsula and advancing to the rank of Sergeant. He continued serving his country as a Marine Corp Reservist until 1962. He loved his family, and if you were his friend then he considered you family too. Bill never met a stranger! He enjoyed a professional career with companies including Montgomery Ward, Texas Instruments, Convergent Technologies and Home Depot. He also traveled throughout 49 of the 50 states in addition to numerous countries abroad.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Jack, Edward, Gayle and Arthur Earl, and two sisters, Mildred and Nancy. Survivors include his two sons, Paul and Alan, two grandsons, Cody and Justin, four brothers, Philip, George, Jimmy and Robert "Bobby" Johnson, and two sisters, Margaret Eastwood and Bettye Myers.
Visitation will be at Allen Family Funeral Options, 2120 W. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, Texas 75023 from 5:30 - 7:30 PM on Sunday, May 12, 2013. Memorial Services to be held at Prestonwood Baptist Church, 6801 W. Park Boulevard, Plano, Texas 75093 at 11:30 AM Monday, May 13, 2013 with burial to follow at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Bill was on dialysis for the last several years of his life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the National Kidney Foundation in his honor:
