Richard Davis Jr

Richard Graham Davis Jr, 78, loving husband, father and grandfather passed into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 7, 2013, at his home in Dallas, TX. Richard was born December 25, 1934, in Washington, DC, the son of Richard Graham Davis Sr. and Lyda Ballard Davis. He is preceded in death by his sister Christine Davis.

Richard graduated from the University of Maryland and later served as a captain in the United States Air Force. In 1962 he married the love of his life Molly Linker who survives him after 50 years together. Following his time in service to his country, he joined American Airlines where he retired as a captain after 30 years, yet remained active with The Grey Eagles association of senior and retired pilots.

Richard was a loving, loyal husband and devoted father to his sons Richard and Edward. His main joys in life were his wife and family. A sports enthusiast, he enjoyed flying, tennis, racquetball, golf and watching football. Richard loved his Lord and was an active member of Northwest Bible Church.

He is survived by his wife, Molly Linker Davis, brother Lane Graham Davis, son Richard and his wife Carrie, son Edward and his wife Shannon, grandchildren Sophia, Phoenix, Cole, Cash and Sadie.

A funeral service celebrating Richard's life will be held Monday, March 11, 2013 at 4:00 PM at Frankford Historic Church and Cemetery, 17405 Muirfield Drive, Dallas, TX 75287.
