Patricia (Pat) Schumacher of Plano was called to be with Our Lord on Sunday, February 10, 2013 after a long battle with COPD. Pat was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 28, 1933 to parents Joseph and Helen Lynch. After graduation from Fontbonne Hall Academy, she worked on Madison Avenue in Manhattan for Compton Advertising on their P&G account. Pat and her family moved to New Jersey where she met and married Joe Schumacher. They celebrated 50 wonderful years together on October 6, 2012. While raising their three children Pat volunteered at Holy Spirit Parish School in Pequannock, New Jersey and also enjoyed her time working with the children in Girl Scouts. Joe was transferred to Dallas in 1978 and they have lived in Plano ever since. Pat worked at St. Mark's the Evangelist Catholic Church office for several years and active at both St. Mark's and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. She worked for John Hancock and Equifax before retiring. She is survived by her husband Joe, children Michael Schumacher and his wife Terry, Susan Frick and her husband Ross and Denise Bonds and her husband David. Pat dedicated her life to her children and seven grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Pat is preceded in death by her parents, and sisters Dorothy and Barbara. A vigil and visitation will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 7:00 PM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, Texas. A mass of the resurrection will be held Friday, February 15, 2013 at 10:30 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with The Reverend Bruce Bradley officiating. A reception will follow the mass.
