Burt Moses was born September 12, 1956 in West Monroe Louisiana to parents J. D. and Gerri Moses and this is where he spent his youth. Burt graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a minor in Economics. He began his career at Commercial Union Insurance where he earned his CPCU certification. While at Commercial Union he met his wife Lynne Johnston Moses. They were blessed with 32 years of marriage. He continued his career at Fidelity & Deposit and Kemper Insurance where he reached the position of Executive Vice President before starting his own business, Burt Moses Associates. Burts first priority was his relationship with the Lord and then his family. He was a dedicated husband and father. Burt cherished the time he spent with his son Daniel and was a treasured friend to many. He was a gifted soloist and trumpet player. Burt loved his church, Hunters Glen Baptist in Plano, Texas where he was member of the orchestra. Burt was also an avid member of The McKinney Community Band, McKinney Dance Band and the Lover's Lane Jazz Band. Though he will be missed by many, we are comforted knowing that he is spending eternity with the Lord, his Savior, in heaven. Burt is survived by his loving wife Lynne, son Daniel and his friend Tasha Graham, mother Gerri Allmendinger and her husband Milton, brother David Moses and his wife Karen, brother Jack Royce Moses, aunt and uncle Melba and Carlos Ladd, nieces and nephews Vanessa and Brett Nolan, Justin Moses and Lauren Moses, great nieces Hannah and Haley Nolan. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made in Burt's name to the Piano fund at Hunter's Glen Baptist Church.
