Janice Sue Mavrikos

Janice Sue "Jan" Mavrikos was born on December 19, 1950 in Levelland, Texas to parents Robert and Etta Buskirk. Jan was always full of life and loved to laugh. She loved her boys and husband Kostos and dedicated herself to family and friends. She was everyone's prayer warrior and would always light a candle and say a special prayer for those in difficult times. Jan could talk for hours and gave wonderful advice. Some of her families favorite memories are of gathering at her house, sitting around the kitchen table laughing and reminiscing over a glass of wine. Special talk time with Jan was on Saturday mornings over a cup of coffee out on her back patio. She passed away on January 30, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Jan is survived by her husband of 36 years Kostos Mavrikos, sons Mark Mavrikos and Nicolas Mavrikos, sisters Bert Eberle, Rosie Shocklee, and Shirley Rector.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM Friday, February 01, 2013 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 13555 Hillcrest Road Dallas, Texas 75240. Interment was at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in Jan's name to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
