Loving mother and wife, Penelopi Dimoulakis Grendas, born October 20, 1945 to Dimitrios and Efstathia Dimoulakis. She died peacefully on September 7, 2012 with all her family by her side. Penelopi was born and raised in Agia Anna, Evia, Greece. She came to America in July of 1975 to be with her brother in Dallas, Texas. She married Christos Grendas on May 31, 1980 and had one son, Vasilios, on February 21, 1982, who is the joy and love of her life.
She was a wonderful seamstress that could put anything together. A warm and loving person to all, she always tried to help everyone around her in their time of need. She also enjoyed tending to her garden and her flowers (pictured above) with her husband.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years and most wonderful son. She has three brothers, Kosta Dimoulakis, Nick Dimoulakis, and John Dimoulakis and one sister, Vasiliki Tsiampokalos who lives in Athens, Greece. She also has numerous nieces and nephews, in the USA and Greece, who will miss her deeply.
She is loved very much, will always be missed, and will always be in everyone's hearts. May her memory be eternal.
A service for Penelopi will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 9, 2012 and funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 10, 2012 both at The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 13555 Hillcrest Rd., Dallas, Texas 75240.
