Craig Royse Smith

Craig R. Smith 51, of Frisco passed away at 10:00 p.m. Thursday September 6, 2012 at his home surrounded by friends and family. He was born on April 28th, 1961 in Rolla, Missouri to parents James R. and Linda M. (Roy) Smith. Craig received his computer science degree at the University of Missouri at Rolla. He later earned his MBA at the University of Houston. Craig was employed for many years as a consultant in information technology. He and his wife Jo Ann met in 1985 and have been married for 24 years. In his spare time he enjoyed bird watching, reading, woodworking, and music. Craig is survived by his loving wife Jo Ann, he was a loving and devoted father to his twins, Rachel and Connor who were the joy of his life, father and his wife James and Olivia Smith, siblings Cindi Forbes, Ayesha Macon and her husband Christopher, A J Smith, mother and father in law Margaret and Arvin Williams, sisters and brothers in law Janet and Gary Moon, Susan and Kelly Michie, Steve and Connie Williams, nephews Ryan and Matthew Michie, Chase Williams, Ben Hall and his wife December, Shiloh, Kalil and Gilead, aunts Jo An Wright and Sue Martin. He was preceded in death by his mother Linda Smith and cousin Ronna Kelly. Craig was a loyal and devoted friend to a diverse group of people. He is loved and will be sorely missed by all. Family will receive friends on Sunday, September 9, 2012 from 4:00-6:00 PM at Allen Family Funeral Options. A memorial service to celebrate Craig's life will be held on Monday, September 10, 2012 at 3:30 PM at First United Methodist Church, 7659 Preston Road, Frisco, Texas 75034. If desired, memorials may be made in Craig's name to Duke Brain Tumor Center.
