Gene Wise

Gene Harold Wise was born on June 5, 1940 in Kinston, North Carolina to parents Everland and Hazel Wise. He grew up loving the beaches and the ocean.
He served in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Okinawa and England.
While in England, he met the love of his life Gloria and in June of 1965, they were married.
Their oldest son Robert was born while the family lived in England.
They moved back to the United States and Gene began his U.S. work career at Texas Instruments.
Their second son Anthony was born during this time and the family moved to Plano in 1974.
Gene loved sports and spent many hours coaching his son's soccer teams.
Gene enjoyed the work and friends he met while employed at P.T.I.
Gene loved the outdoors, the beaches, the pool, the back garden, fishing and playing golf.
He also had a strong love for animals; particularly his beloved cats.
He enjoyed life and being around friends and family. He loved visiting his wife's family in England
and especially his visits to the English pubs.
He was a true friend to many and his countless friendships lasted a lifetime.
Gene passed from this life on August 30, 2012 and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife Gloria Wise, children Robert Wise, Anthony Wise and his wife Monica, Charlotte Savin and her husband Garry, grandchildren Jesse Laforest, Zhoe Walsh, Lauren Bicknell, Darren Boothby, Grant Savin, brother Wes Wise, sister Maxine Wise, a loving niece, nephews and numerous friends and family members in England.
A memorial service celebrating Gene's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Chase Oaks Church, 281 Legacy Dr., Plano, Texas 75023 with Pastor Robert Matthews officiating.
