Robert Waindl Kuncl

Robert (Bob) Waindl Kuncl of Plano, Texas went home to be with his Lord and Savior July 27, 2012. He was born in Berwyn, Illinois on May 30, 1936 and was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph Kuncl and Blanche Waindl Kuncl. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara Limbaugh Kuncl and his two wonderful daughters, Kellee Scott of Frisco and Courtney Kuncl-Burrage of Plano and sons-in-law Monty Scott and Robert Burrage. He graduated from the University of Illinois and never lost his love of the school. He served in the U.S. Army as a psychologist. He worked for Armco Steel for 24 years before joining Weir's Furniture Village, where he worked for 26 years. He loved Weir's and his co-workers and never wanted to retire. He was a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church, Plano, Texas, where he served with his wife as care group leaders. He was most happy spending time with his granddaughters, Hadley and Kaylee Scott and his granddogs Missy May Scott and Puddin Burrage. His kind, gentle nature and never ending humor made him beloved by all who met him. He loved to embarrass his granddaughters and play practical jokes on his co-workers. His laugh was contagious and he could set the room off in a fit of giggles with just a look. He could talk to anyone and his wife always said he could sell ice to Eskimos and they'd be thrilled with their purchase. Everyone who met him felt better just by knowing him because he made everyone feel like family. He was the spiritual leader of his family and always put Christ first. His generosity and compassion knew no bounds and he gladly gave to those in need. The legacy he leaves behind will impact generations to come. Deuteronomy 6.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Allen Family Funeral Options, Plano, Texas. His funeral service will be held in the Chapel at Prestonwood Baptist Church, 6801 West Park Boulevard Plano, TX 75093 at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 2, 2012. Robert will be laid to rest at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 3, 2012 at Restland Cemetery Roxton, Texas.
