Danyell "Dany" Furrh

March 16, 1967 — July 2, 2012

Danyell recently shared "Here is where many go wrong. Your "mark" isn't something you feel. It's what you leave behind with others...your legacy. It's not how many things you do before you die. You don't even have to have something erected with your name on it to prove you made your mark. Your choice is the type of legacy you leave. What stories will people be telling after you are gone? Something of significance? I have carried a human in my body for 9 months (twice).
Who knows what my next trick is going to be... I'm always looking :)"
Danyell Monique Furrh was born March 16, 1967 in National City, California to parents Kenneth and Jan Furrh. She passed away too soon and unexpectedly on July 2, 2012.
She was known to most as Dany and was a loving, sincere, creative, imaginative, and a compassionate woman. She loved many and was loved by all who knew her. She was able to find family in all walks of life whether it be blood related or a stranger on a bus. She had an appreciation for life in general and always looked for the best in people. She had a special way of lighting up a room and making people laugh. We are sure she is laughing now as she would want us to laugh and smile in celebration of her life. She had such beautiful big eyes that with a simple glance into them you could see the light within her. With even the shortest amount of eye contact she could warm your heart. As if her unforgettable eyes and smile weren't enough she had hugs that could heal the darkest of souls.
She was an amazing mother to her daughters Zoe (18) and Kaitlyn (9). Danyell was not only their mother but their best friend. She was an open book to her girls and always welcomed them with open arms ready to shower them with love. She never failed to provide them with fun activities, stories, and crafts. She instilled her sense of creativity into the both of them by transforming their apartment into a magical fairytale with tree houses painted on the walls and swings and hammocks for the furniture. She called Zoe "Sunshine", and Kaitlyn "Kitten". They meant the world to her and she meant the world to them. Danyell was also an amazing and loving daughter to her father and a strong, supporting friend to her step mother after her father was diagnosed with a rare neurological disease. She always put the needs of others before hers and wanted to make life easier for everyone.
Her imagination had no boundaries. She once said "Look at my apartment. . . it is full of things that someone tossed away and I saw something they didn't see". She could take anyone's trash and turn it into treasure. She had a heart with a child's vision with Disney songs and movies. She loved Peter Pan and Tinkerbell. She had a talented eye and mind for photo editing and restoration. She worked with photography for the last 7 years and often donated her time and work to other businesses and friends. She expressed her creativity also through sewing. She made Kaitlyn's Halloween costumes every year. She always wanted people to think outside of the box whether it be with work, projects, family, or just personal goals and aspirations. She was a huge motivator to the people around her and always gave that perfect amount of push and drive that someone needed to have in order to reach their dreams and the confidence they would need to succeed.

She believed in everyone and always wanted us to know that we were BEAUTIFUL and AWESOME. A dear friend to her said "She always pushed me to be better and at the end of the day looked at me and said I love you. See? Did you learn anything?'". She had faith in others before they ever had faith in themselves.
We love you Danyell and you will forever be missed. Thank you for being a BEAUTIFUL and AWESOME mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, "Furrlich", and friend.
