Winston Maxwell Kuykendall

Winston Maxwell Kuykendall, 59, died peacefully Monday, May 21, 2012 with his family by his side. The Allen resident is survived by his wife Mary Hilton; sons Alexander and Brandon; his parents Jeane and Winston. In death, Max is preceded by his brother, Paul.

"Max" Kuykendall was born September 5, 1952 in Owensboro, Kentucky. He graduated from Seneca HS in Louisville, then earned his degree from the University of Kentucky in 1974.

Upon graduation, Max entered the marine industry for Brunswick Marine, where he earned the prestigious President's Award in sales. Over several decades, he sold recreational boats in the South for numerous firms, most recently for Tidewater Boats.

Max's quick wit suited his sales success while his love of reading and writing made Max unmatched as a storyteller. Max shared his passion for music, skiing, golf, travel and Kentucky basketball with his sons. His faithful Miniature Schnauzers, Auggie and Knute, were never far from his side.

A memorial will be held Friday, June 1, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Christ Church Plano, 4550 Legacy Drive. A reception will follow at Keller Williams Allen, 1002 Raintree, Suite 100.
