Paul Mathew Stevenson

March 11, 1971 — May 4, 2012

Paul Mathew Stevenson went peacefully to his creator on May 4, 2012, surrounded by family, guided by love, and assured by his son that we would all take care of one another in his absence. Paul is survived by his wife Michelle, and son Will, as well as his parents Harry and Diane Stevenson, sister Dawn (Shawn) Bentley, in-laws Ken and Betty Wurm, Lila (Ken) Kalla, Dan Wurm, Sara Wurm, countless nephews and a couple of nieces.

Paul was born March 11, 1971, in Mason City, Iowa. Raised in St. Peter and North Mankato, Minnesota, he graduated from Mankato West High School in 1989. Paul was the National Transportation Manager for Copart, Inc., where he was devoted to his job and the lasting friendships he gained.

Paul was cared for and comforted during illness by Pat Brown, "Doctor" Cindy, Dr. John, Hospice Nurses Cindy and Clay, Godparents John and Karen Stevenson, special friends Nocole, JuJu, Russ, Big Doug, Stacy, and Jim Saba. Paul was welcomed into Heaven by his Cousin Debbie Stevenson, Aunt Darlene Shrader, Uncle Leonard Stevenson, and Grandparents Peter and Golda Rutjes.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 10:00 - 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Life Path Church 4501 Hedgcoxe Road Plano, Texas 75024. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM.

Not only was Paul a loving husband and dedicated father, but also a friend to all, a brother to many, and companion for life. He was incredibly grateful for the care he received at Mary Crowley Cancer Research Center in Medical CityDallas. His wish was to help Mary Crowley get on the map so that others could live "life without hesitation" as he did during his journey with cancer. Donations can be made in his memory at www.MaryCrowley.org.
