Marjorie Ruth Beck

Marjorie Ruth(nee Baker) Beck was born on July 28, 1927 in East Chicago, IN. The daughter of Dorothy (nee Dwyer) and George Guy Baker. Our loving mother went peacefully to heaven on April 6, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband Quentin F. Beck in 1990. A lifelong resident of the Calumet Region, Marge moved to Fairview, Texas in 2004. There were many special friends in the Calumet area she loved and missed dearly. "Margie Ruth" graduated from Griffith High School and was a proud member of the Griffith High School band. She was fond of the "big band" musicians such as Benny Goodman, who inspired her to play the clarinet. She loved to listen to the recordings of Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, and the Maguire Sisters. She was an avid reader and loved to travel. She is survived by her children Jeff(Jill) Beck of Mason, MI and Lori(Sidney) Thrash of Fairview, TX. Marge was the proud grandmother of Kris M. Barr of Loas Angeles, CA and Meagan and Matthew Beck of Mason, MI. Mom and Nana, you are loved and will be missed so much. Kiss/Kiss Mom, we love you!
