Warren Bartscht

May 26, 1926 — August 3, 2011

Warren Gregory Bartscht was born on May 26, 1926 in Bloomington, Illinois to parents Fred and Fern Bartscht. He passed away on August 3, 2011 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 85.

Warren is survived by his daughter Kelly Bartscht and his grandson Josh, sister Margaret Kirby and niece Ann McGath. He was preceded in death by his sister Loretta.

He is described by Kelly as a "concrete thinker".everything was either black or white to him. He had strong opinions about many things and was happy to share his thoughts on numerous topics if you asked him to do so. Kelly also remembers him during her childhood as being reliable and consistent. He was a rock in time of chaos.

Warren moved from Ellsworth, Illinois to Texas in the 1950's and made Texas his home for the remainder of his life. He always made time for his daughter; going to Six Flags, trips to Galveston, going to Love Field in Dallas to watch airplanes take off and land, bowling and go kart riding. He loved the water and personally taught Kelly how to swim. He loved his family and would go back home to Illinois every year to visit his father, sister and brother in law and niece. Warren also loved the outdoors and enjoyed the times he had hunting and fishing.

A friend once said, "I can't imagine the world without Warren in it".
