Ellen Faye Hodges

Ellen Faye Hodges was born on December 11, 1947 in Wichita Falls, Texas to parents Franklin and Bertha Cheek. On November 11, 2011 her life ended on this earth and she began her life eternal with her Lord and Savior.

She will be fondly remembered as a beautiful lady who enjoyed fun times with her family. She was a wonderful, dependable friend to many and has been described as funny, giving, outgoing and classy.

For the past 10 years Ellen has managed Salon Boutique in Frisco and loved taking care of herself as well by getting massages and doing all those things one does to maintain a beautiful image. Another pastime Ellen enjoyed was to "shop, shop, shop" and "shop some more"!

She was a devoted Grandma and she loved her children unconditionally: always telling them, "No matter how old you are, I will always worry about you." Ellen loved horses and cherished her dog Ella Bella.

Ellen is survived by her children Sharron Sullivan and her husband Randy, Kevin Hollingshead and his wife Jessica, Erica Mergel and her husband Chris, grandchildren Tanner and Quincie Sullivan, Kali, Kami and Haylee Hollingshead, Dylan and Eralyn Mergel and Dakota Beck, sisters Wanda McKay, Ava Doris Watson and Cheryl Langham. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings Jimmy Cheek, Glenda Judd, Mary Rose and Laronna Arnold.

A memorial service to celebrate Ellen's life will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at Hunters Glen Baptist Church, 4001 Custer Road, Plano, Texas 75023
