Chester (Chet) Dumanski, Jr. passed away October 23, 2011 after a lengthy battle with lung cancer. Chet is survived by his wife of 38 years. Christine, daughters Anna Pallone of Plano, her husband Frank, Amy Wallace of Ruckersville, VA and her husband Patrick, grandchildren Daniel Bridges, Graeson Wiggins and Sara Wallace, his mother Adele Dumanski of Berlin, NJ and brother William Dumanski of East Windson Twp, NJ along with his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Chet was born in Darby, PA and moved to Magnolia NJ at the age of 12. He attended Sterling Regional High School in Somerdale, JK where he met his wife. Chet and Chris were married in October 1973 and welcomed daughter Anna in 1976. They relocated to Southern California in 1978 and daughter Amy was born in 1980. They lived in Burbank before moving to Glendora, CA. Chet was transferred to Dallas in 1992 and the family settled in Plano.
Grandson Daniel arrived in 1996 followed by Graeson in 1997. Daniel and Graeson were truly his boys. He delighted in them from the moment they arrived and Chet was a very prominent person in both of their lives. When they reached elementary school age, Chet joined the Cub Scouts with them and served in many roles with Pack 1256 including Assistant Pack Leader and Pinewood Derby Chairman. His involvement with the scouting program extended beyond his participation with his grandsons and included every boy who was involved.
His latest love was his granddaughter, Sara. He was able to spend many special times with her creating a bond that will be there forever. He was looking forward to creating special memories with his new granddaughter due to arrive in February.
He was very proud of his daughters and their husbands. He knew the importance of family and was very happy that no matter what happened in life that our family would stick together and be there for one another.
