He married Beatrice Boccardi on January 3, 1949 and enjoyed sixty three years of marriage to the love of his life. As the oldest son in a large Italian immigrant family, Tony at an early age went to work in the Civilian Conservation Corp. (CCC) to help his family survive the effects of the Great Depression. He served during World War II as a Gunner's Mate Second Class in the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters where he honorably defended his country. He was an active member of St. Joseph the Worker Church where he faithfully sang in the choir each Sunday for over five decades and loved his choir family. He touched every aspect of the parish's life and the work of his skilled hands can be seen in various places including the votive chapel. Tony worked through the Carpenter's Local Union No.168 and built many homes and buildings in the area. He enjoyed his original May's Donuts and morning coffee with the old gang of friends. He was a dedicated and faithful husband and father. His legacy of faith, service and steadfastness will be cherished by his children and grandchildren.
