Anna Gulino

January 1, 1918 — November 7, 2011

Anna Gulino was born on January 1, 1918 in Palermo, Sicily Italy to parents Frank Androsiglio and Mary Theresa Delorenzo Androsiglio.



While in Italy, she worked with Nuns as a secretary for a period of approximately 8 years. She also assisted the group by using her talents as a seamstress and created crafts for them to sell to raise funds. In April of 1949, Anna married her husband Gioacchino (Jack) Gulino and together they came to America in December of that year. At the time of their marriage she was 30 and Jack 45 years of age.



Anna loved baseball and was a loyal fan of the New York Yankees. She also enjoyed watching roller derby and wrestling on television. Anna will also be remembered as a wonderful cook. She carried her craft making and sewing skills for a lifetime and was also very talented at crocheting; learning new stitches well into her 90's. She left behind numerous table cloths and blankets she lovingly created by hand.



Anna passed from this life on November 7, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack and son John and is survived by children Louis Gulino and wife Annabelle, Anthony Gulino and wife Dolores, Mary Sutton and husband John, Lena Brezin, Jack Frank Gulino and wife Trish, Frank James Gulino and wife Teresa, 16 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.



A prayer vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W. Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, Texas 75023 and the Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2011 also at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. The Reverend Monsignor Henry V. Petter will serve as Celebrant. Anna will be laid to rest next to her husband in Queens, New York.



A reception will follow the mass in the Parish Hall and all are welcome.
