Barbara Ann Nanashe

November 15, 1944 — May 18, 2011

Barbara (also known as Bon to family members) was a Big Sister, a Daughter, a Mother of three, and a Grandmother of four. While raising her children she was a stay-at-home mom. She was everyone's favorite Room Mom, bringing the best homemade baked goods to our parties!

She enjoyed baking rolls, homemade pizza, and Italian bread and cakes while the kids were in school. Returning home from school was fun - smelling and tasting the baked items. She would share the food with neighbors, and even workmen that would fix things around the house.

Barbara got a job a K Mart working the cash register; she would be afraid of miscounting money - but eventually graduated to a Manager! She would take advantage of many Blue-light specials, and this was the first time we had Coke in the house. She always found a way to make ends meet.

Later in life Barbara worked many years at a dry cleaners. She had many horrendous stories of different soiled clothes that would come through the store! After dry cleaning, she was a customer service rep, or intake person, for the catalogue / online orders for numerous companies. She had a beautiful phone voice and lots of patience for walking customers through their orders, especially over Christmas.

We all enjoyed Barbara's homemade candy. She would make chocolate-covered pretzels and nuts, or almost anything worthy enough to be covered in chocolate! She also made caramel popcorn and popcorn balls to share with family and friends. She was a recipe-book-aholic, which her daughters received as hand-me-downs.

Barbara enjoyed playing BINGO, watching the "Young and the Restless", and reading the "Star" and the "National Enquirer".

We know you will be watching over each and every one of us, we love you Mom!
