Mark was born June 9, 1954 in Dallas, Texas to parents Jay Herbert Adams and Camille Savone Adams. Mark attended Jesuit High School where he was the goalie on the varsity soccer team and graduated in May of 1972. He earned a partial scholarship to SMU in the fall of 1972 and continued his soccer career as a goalie for the Mustangs soccer team. In 1976 Mark graduated from SMU with a bachelors degree in psychology and a minor in science. He earned a teaching certificate in the fall of 1976 and began teaching in January 1977 at Lake Highland High School. Mark earned his masters degree in teaching from UTD in 1980 and continued his teaching career at Lake Highlands for 32 years, teaching biology, anatomy and physiology, oceanography, environmental science and aquatic science. Mark passed away August 29, 2010 and will be missed by his family and wonderful friends. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor, his spirituality and as being a loving father and devoted husband. Mark is survived by his loving wife Amanda Gill Adams, children John Jay Adams, Mark Joseph Adams, Sarah Joy Holsapple and Samuel Blake Holsapple, brother Carlton Clint Adams, sister Diane Adams Cook. Mark is preceded in death by his infant daughter Jennifer Kay Adams, brother Jay Joseph Adams and parents Jay and Camille Adams. The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Allen Family Funeral Options. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 3, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, TX. 75023, The Reverend Monsignor Henry V. Petter, celebrant. Interment to follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery, Dallas, TX. Family requests contributions to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
