Stephen Andrew Knight

Stephen Andrew Knight was born January 26,1972 in Cleveland, Ohio to parents Timothy James and Loretta Christina (Saucedo) Knight. Stephen passed away after a brief illness on May 26, 2018 in Dallas, Texas.

Stephen was a wonderful son to his parents, big brother to his sisters and father to a beautiful daughter.  He was born in Cleveland and after 3 years the family relocated to El Paso, Texas where Stephen spent his formative years in the company of MANY loving family members who nurtured him through a childhood illness.  He earned a degree in Computer Science from UTEP and proceeded to pursue a career in IT.  He moved to Austin and worked for Dell Computers for over 12 years until he went to work for Right Step Rehabilitation in their IT Support Department.  He jumped on an opportunity to transfer to the DFW area to be closer to his family.  He was a lifelong practicing Catholic and joined the Knights of Columbus as a 3rd degree Knight back in 2012.

Stephen was an avid fan of Star Wars, comic books, computer gaming and most especially reading.  Above all, he enjoyed time with family, including 5 nephews, a niece, and a myriad of pets!  Shortly before his death, he became a father to a beautiful blue-eyed baby girl, Evelynne Isabella Breña Knight.

Throughout his life Stephen was challenged with several health issues, but he didn’t allow them to define him.  He handled them with such grace and with the help of faith, prayer and fortitude he has persevered into the Kingdom of God as a true Knight, in every sense of the word.

Stephen is survived by his parents; Tim and Loretta Knight, sisters; Colleen Santoni and her husband Frank, Marissa Walton and her husband James, daughter; Evelynne Isabella Breña Knight and Breña’s mother Melody Miller, nieces and nephews Noah, Alex and Luke Santoni and Andrew, Rhys and Libby Walton. He also has many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

There will be a Mass of the Resurrection Monday, June 4, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, Texas 75023 with The Reverend Monsignor Henry Petter presiding.   There will be a rosary Monday at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.

Stephen will be laid to rest in the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Columbarium.
