Micah Hale Ward

November 1, 1977 — October 14, 2017

Micah Hale Ward was born November 1, 1977 in Dallas, Texas to parents James Dexter and Lois (Warren) Ward. The Lord called Micah home unexpectedly on October 14, 2017.

He was an ambassador of peace, a calming influence on everyone he touched. His quiet, gentle spirit and patience were manifested in his “strong-silent” personality. He understood that a gentle man is a strong man.  People who knew him usually felt that he was a close friend.  He never met a stranger and could carry on a conversation with anyone.

He loved knowledge and information. He was an explorer with no “bucket list” because he lived it every day. His areas of interest were continuously expanding, which allowed his creative mind to explore the uncommon and out-of-the ordinary places in God’s creation. His artistic quest was to observe and absorb these discoveries and display them as truth in color.

Although his friendships were treasured dearly, his relationship with his family was by far his most beloved. A mentor to his sister and a friend and confidant to his brother, he was always there to listen, help or encourage. He felt a deep love and respect for his parents that was expressed in the same quiet way as he lived his life:  still waters running deep.

Micah is survived by his mom and dad, Dexter and Lois Ward, brother Nathan Ward (Monica), sister Emily Stoner (Jonathan), paternal grandfather Stan Ward, Uncles David Ward (Julie) and Dr. Richard Healey, aunt Vicky Warren and many loving cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Patricia Ward, maternal grandparents Robert and Pauline Warren, uncle Dr. Paul Warren and aunt Bettina Healey.

A memorial service to celebrate Micah’s life will be held Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Christ Church Plano, 4550 Legacy Dr., Plano, Texas 75024 with The Very Reverend Paul Donison and The Reverend Steven Saul officiating.  Micah will be laid to rest at the columbarium at Christ Church Plano.  There will be a reception to follow the service in the fellowship hall.

If desired, contributions may be made in Micah's memory to St. Timothy Christian Academy, 6801 W. Park Blvd., Plano, TX 75093 http://www.staplano.org/contact/ 972.820.5460
