Craig Rind

Born February 21, 1959 in Havre de Grace, Maryland, passed away May 6, 2019 in Richardson, Texas. Craig fought a 22 month long battle with neuroendocrine cancer, and he died peacefully with his family by his side. Craig refused to let cancer define him by continuing to be active in family activities, dinners with family and friends, and attending Friday morning bible study with his high school buddies. Craig was an inspiration to all who knew him with his continuous generosity, faith, determination, and love for his family and friends.

Craig had an infectious smile and he was loved by everyone who ever knew him. He had many lifelong friends from high school, college, and the years he worked in commercial real estate, mortgage lending, and promotional sales.

No matter where Craig went: to dinner, on vacations, to concerts, even on a highway in California, he always ran into somebody he knew. His family was always amazed by this phenomenon.

Craig loved many people and he is loved by many. Throughout the last 24 hours of Craig’s life there was a constant flow of family and friends visiting Craig to say their goodbyes and pray over a dear and beloved man, which is a testament to the life he lived and the relationships he built during his life. His presence on this earth will be missed by all who knew him, but Craig is now resting at home in heaven where he will meet his family and friends again someday.

Craig was preceded in death by his father John T Rind. He is survived by his mother Shirley; wife Debbie; son John; sister Cheryl and her husband Tim; nephew Cole; niece Mattie; stepdaughters Kim and her husband Mark, Laura and her husband Matt and Kelsey and her husband David; and grandchildren, Alexandra, Sophia, Olivia, Lucy and Samuel.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday May 17, 2019 at Christ United Methodist Church located at 3101 Coit Road Plano, Texas 75075

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations be made to : American Cancer Society or Christ United Methodist Church
