Casey's life began in Sherman, Texas on Mother's Day......the most precious gift a mother could ask for. Throughout his childhood and formative years, it was apparent the well-rounded person he would become. He was a mentor to his younger brother Chris and that love, and admiration has continued throughout his life. Chris loved Casey and emulated him in many ways. He was the ideal big brother who can never be replaced; he was a beloved son to his parents.
Casey was always the funny guy; the guy that never wanted to be the center of attention, but his wit was a magnet to those who surrounded him. His circle of friends grew from the beginning and continued to expand with every new chapter in his life, and he carried those friendships with him until the end.
He loved sports and it became clear early on that baseball would become his love. A sport that he and his brother were able to share their passion. From little league through high school and on to college baseball at Vernon Community College, Austin College, and Brookhaven Community College, he stood out.
A little red-headed girl down the street caught his eye the summer before high school, so the "love story" began. The courtship between Casey and Jamie continued through college and their marriage began in August 1999. Their story was built on a bond from childhood and flourished into a love of a lifetime envied by many.
The family grew in 2004 with the birth of Ainsley. Parenthood was something they loved, so fourteen months later their second child, a son, Ryder, was born. In 2008 the family grew to five with the birth of Piper fondly called "Leeta" by her daddy. His children thought they had the funniest dad ever. He was their biggest supporter and was there for everything they were involved in. He made jokes and jingles out of everything to make the kids laugh. He entertained them with his snapchats even from his hospital bed in his last days.
Family traditions were so important to him. They loved their yearly ski trips, summers on the beach in Florida with extended family, and New Year's spent at their favorite ranch in Oklahoma. Life was always an adventure. Golf became his passion as an adult and the golf outings with his buddies, trips to the Master's, and playing at many outstanding courses throughout the country were a big part of his adventure.
Casey completed a Master of Business Administration degree at The University of North Texas where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. That brotherhood is one he held close. His professional career placed him in the insurance industry immediately after graduation. He started with Safeco and from there he moved thru the ranks with Travelers, Zurich, IFIC, Aspen and his current position as Regional Manager Vice President with Swiss Re. He was well respected in the small industry of Surety Bond Underwriters.
His illness and subsequent passing has been a shock to all. There are no words to describe how much he will be missed and the loss that we mourn. His legacy will live on through his three beautiful children, his immediate family, his extended family, and his huge circle of friends. He was "the life of the party" and he will never be forgotten.
Casey is survived by his loving wife Jamie Sullivan, children Ainsley, Ryder and Piper Sullivan, parents Dennis and Sondra Sullivan, brother Chris Sullivan and his wife Lindsey, mother and father in law Bill and Sandy Bever, brother in law Troy Bever and his wife JulieAnn, nephews and niece Rett, Ellie and Ben Bever and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Billy and Peggy Webb, and George and Betty Sullivan all of Garland.
