Christopher L Montgomery

Chris was born in Red Hill, Surrey, England on November 2, 1966. He was the second son of Lin and Trinie Montgomery, and brother to Lin Jr. and Beth. He traveled extensively with his family due to his father's career in oil exploration. During his formative years he lived in England, Angola, Lebanon, Libya, Nigeria and Saudi Arabia, before settling in Dallas, Texas. Chris attended St. Rita Catholic School, then Jesuit Prep where he graduated in 1985.
He majored in Information Technology at Texas State University. While working for the state of Texas in Austin, he met his wife, Ella Lane, and they married on January 6, 1997. He moved to Dallas, Texas and worked for the telecom industry. He joined T-Mobile in 2006 and worked there until his death on July 11, 2016. Chris inspired his coworkers with his exceptional diligence to his work and T-Mobile responded with continuous support throughout his battle with cancer.
Chris was a wonderful husband and father, devoted to his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Ella, and his children, Paul 19 (US Army), Kirsten 17, Mark 15, and Sabrina 9, stepdaughter Ashley, who is now married, and two grandchildren, Hazel 3 and Lowen 1.
His hobbies and interests were astronomy, aikido, playing chess, playing the guitar and classic sports cars. He was a family man who loved spending time at home with his wife and children. He was known for being generous, who always took the time to listen and help others. He considered his brother, Lin Jr., to be his best friend and was close to his coworkers who supported and encouraged him during his battle with cancer.
His brave struggle against cancer showed his courageous and noble nature. He grew closer to God during his ordeal and is an inspiring example to his family. He lived the Golden Rule. A Memorial Mass will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church 2700 W. Spring Creek Parkway Plano, Texas 75023. Inurnment and a reception will follow.
