Frederick Anthony Weber was born July 14, 1945 in Trenton, Michigan to parents Frederick and Ruth (Charron) Weber. He passed away April 21, 2016 in Plano, Texas. Fred was the oldest of four children and grew up in Wyandotte Michigan where he attended Mt. Carmel grade school and high school. He received a Bachelor's Degree from Wayne State University in 1967. He served in the United States Army, Second Infantry Division, as a parachute jump master, and spent a year in Korea at the DMZ. In 1968 he married his high school sweetheart, Sharon Cwiek. They had a son, and for years actively followed young Fred's athletic endeavors. They were blessed with three grandchildren Savanna, Nick and Macy. Sadly, Sharon died in 2003 and his son Fred died in 2009. For 32 years, Fred worked for the Reynolds Tobacco Company in sales and sales management. After retirement his interests turned to collectible, and he started F - S Antiques. Fred faithfully supported the Dallas Cowboys through both winning and losing seasons. While living in Lexington Kentucky, he became a Kentucky Wildcat basketball fan. Eventually, Fred joined Seton Singles Over 40 and met Sue, a recent widow. A new chapter began, and together they travelled the world. Antarctica. South Africa. Israel. Greece. Russia. China. The Far East. They saw Polar Bears on Hudson Bay and rare species on the Galapagos Islands. Fred was enchanted with the coliseum in Ephesus where Paul once preached. Throughout the decade of their marriage, Fred was an active parishioner at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus, served as a Eucharistic Minister, was a member of Friends of the Bereaved, and administered the parish name tag program. Sue's family became a central focus of his life. This includes her daughter Shannon, son in law Brad, son Sean, daughter in law Kristin, and grandchildren Brendan, Hannah, Madelynn, Brittney and Josh. A memorial service to honor and celebrate Fred's life will be held Monday, April 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, Texas.
