Erik Johansen

Erik was born November 9, 1954 in the small town of Bolderslev in Denmark. The oldest of 5 children, Erik completed military training in the Danish Army and acquired a degree in agriculture. He came to Texas to study at CFNI in Dallas in the early 80's, where he met Clarissa. Plano became their home as they built a life together. Erik enjoyed spending time with his daughter, Monique, and his two grandchildren. He had many talents and creative abilities as well as a wealth of information, which made him a "go-to-person" for many. He was very social, loved people and was a natural conversationalist. Erik's sense of humor and laugh were contagious. As the apostle Paul said in his letter to Timothy, Erik could also say: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits methe crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me, but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing." 2 Timothy 4:7-8. Erik is survived by his wife Clarissa, daughter Monique Johansen and her husband Andy Bradshaw, grandchildren Corbin Curry and Hannah Bradshaw, mother Anne Johansen, brothers Gunnar Johansen and his wife Lizbeth, Leif Johansen and his wife Jonna, Mads Johansen and his wife Debbie, sister Luise Hentze and her husband Thornbijan and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Erik was preceded in death by his father Christian Johansen. The family will receive friends at a visitation Tuesday, April 7, 2015 from 9:30-10:30 am at Allen Family Funeral Options, Plano, Texas. Erik will be laid to rest at 11:30 am at Lakeview Cemetery, Lavon, Texas. Following the committal service a memorial service will be held to celebrate Erik's life at 12:30 pm at Restoration Church, 2006 W Parker Road, Wylie, Texas, officiated by Pastor Randy Foret.
