Kelle Kay (Brown) Whitlock passed away on October 14, 2014 after battling an extended illness. Kelle was born on June 22, 1957 in Blackwell, Oklahoma, the first of five children born to Carol and Mickey Brown. Kelle attended school in Blackwell where she was involved in several activities including student council, band, sports, and cheerleading. After graduating from Blackwell High School in 1975, Kelle continued her studies at the University of Oklahoma before she met and married Cary Whitlock.
Kelle and Cary lived in Oklahoma for a time, moved to the Dallas, Texas area in 1987 until 2010 before currently settling in Andrews, Texas. While in Texas, Kelle worked for Highland Electronics, Nations Bank and was employed by J.P. Morgan/Chase at the time of her passing. Kelle and Cary had two sons, Christopher and Cory. Kelle loved being involved with her children and grandchildren, especially watching them play sports. Kelle also loved to play fast and slow pitch softball, spending time with friends and travel. We will always remember her selfless spirit, contagious laugh and beautiful smile.
Kelle is survived by her husband, Cary Whitlock of Andrews, Texas, her two sons, Christopher and wife Stephanie of Waxahachie, Texas and Cory and wife Meredith of The Colony, Texas, her sisters, Micki Adams of Blackwell, Oklahoma, Traci Davis of Ovilla, Texas and Timi Sacotte of Moore, Oklahoma, her brother, Brandon Brown of Blackwell, Oklahoma, four grandchildren, Joshua, Jaxon, Ava and Kensley and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Carol and Mickey Brown.
The family will receive friends at a visitation on Sunday, October 19, 2014 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Allen Family Funeral Options. A funeral service celebrating Kelle's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 20, 2014 at Hunters Glen Baptist Church, 4001 Custer Road, Plano, Texas 75023. Kelle will be laid to rest on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Grandview Cemetery in Kaw City, Oklahoma. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in Kelle's name to American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org or to the Blackwell Public School Foundation, www.blackwellschoolfoundation.com
