Irma was born July 28, 1921 in Antelope, North Dakota the fourth child of seven children of Andreas and Juliana Enzi. She graduated from High School in Richardton, North Dakota and got her nurses training, graduating as an RN from Bismarck hospital. She then attended the University of Minnesota and then graduated from North Central College, Illinois with a degree in Bible and Religious education. She went to Hawaii where she worked at Queen's Hospital. In Hawaii she met and married Lewis Walters and together they had two children, Leslie Lewis and Juliana Marie Walters. She moved to Plano, Texas prior to the birth of her grandsons and lived there for the rest of her life. She had a lifelong passion for reading and loved animals. She is survived by her son Dr. Leslie Lewis Walters, daughter in law Sandra I Walters, grandsons Gregory William Walters and Zachary Lewis Walters. A memorial service honoring Irma's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 5801 W. Plano Parkway, Plano, Texas 75093.
