Elise Anastasia Roberts

Elise was born on January 27, 2003. She was the oldest of 4 children born to John and Beverly Roberts. Elise was a sweet, shy girl but her personality really came through once you got to know her.
Elise was an awesome big sister. She was a constant BFF to Annika, a role model for Karina, and was always watching out for Jonah. She had a great sense of humor and her siblings could always count on her to make them laugh.
Elise was a 7th grader at Vandeventer Middle School in Frisco where she played the flute in the band and was known as a compassionate and supportive friend. She was proud of herself for making the A Honor roll and for being chosen as a "Victorious Viking" by her 7th grade teachers.
Elise was a natural athlete and participated in softball, triathlons and swim team but her real passion was gymnastics. Elise was a USAG Level 6 gymnast at Texas Best Gymnastics in McKinney. She was in the gym 20 hours per week - it was her happy place and her coaches and teammates had become her second family. She was elegant but as tough as they come, never backing down from a challenge. Elise loved her teammates and celebrated their achievements just as much as she was proud of her own.
Above all else, Elise had a true love for the Lord and was open about sharing her faith with family through conversation and prayer. There was no doubt that Elise had placed her faith in Jesus and His saving grace.
Elise is survived by her parents, John and Beverly; sisters Annika and Karina; brother Jonah; grandmothers Cindy Roberts and Carol McDermott; aunts and uncles Michele Stone, John and Karen Bennett, John and Tonya McDermott, Joe and Claire McDermott, and Patrick and Jennifer McDermott; and, cousins Carolyn Stone, Kathleen Stone, Keelan Stone, Rachel Bennett, Nathan Bennett, Zachary Bennett, Reese McDermott, Gage McDermott, Tobin McDermott and Payton McDermott.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 25 at 2:00 at Christ Church Plano, 4550 Legacy Drive, Plano, Texas 75024. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a lifesaving blood donation or a financial contribution to Carter BloodCare.
